What we do

Our on-line recruitment platform, iCams, is constantly being enhanced to keep pace with the opportunities that the internet affords us and our customers and we now need to add to our committed development team.

The Role

The role will be both interesting and challenging.  You will be taught best practice whilst at the same time given the opportunity to work with and explore new and evolving technologies and ideas.  You will:-

  • Develop and enhance existing and new core business systems.
  • Maintain software through review and modification of existing code.
  • Investigate and research new techniques, practices and coding styles with a view to providing product enhancements.
  • Create design concepts and technical documentation.
  • Understand, develop and adhere to best practice.
  • Assist with the provision of customer support.

What we are looking for from you

Ideally we want a graduate in Information Systems, Software Development, Software Engineering, or any Software and Computing associated discipline.  We are looking for an outstanding academic achiever but just as important we want someone with drive, commitment and vision.

We would like you to have some web application development experience (e.g. Javascript, HTML, CSS, XML and scripting such as PHP or perl).    It would also be helpful to have some experience of some RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL etc.)

In addition we want you to

  • be able to work within a small team whilst at the same time be comfortable working on your own and knowing when to seek help and advice
  • have drive, determination and a logical approach when dealing with new technologies and challenges
  • use initiative to progress but know when to seek guidance and not be afraid to ask for help
  • be a confident and articulate communicator.

The reality of our opportunity and what we can give you

  • This is a permanent role with real opportunity for growth within the team.
  • We want you to learn as much from us as we can give to develop your skills and experience.
  • We want you to understand that working in a small company likes ours is vastly different from a large organisation – you will need to be resourceful but will at all times have excellent peer and mentor support
  • We all have to work together on a range of tasks so we really need people who are keen to pitch in and help.
  • We all have to be inventive and self-reliant whilst at the same time able to offer our skills and help to other members of the team.
  • We all get the chance to make a difference.

Working with us will be a great opportunity for the right person and if you think you have what we want then we would like to meet with you.
